The Motorcycle Awareness C.O.R.P.S. began as an idea between friends that soon grew into a commitment. Phil Golden and Jeff Rumminger felt the need to bring a new level of motorcycle awareness to North Texas.

There has been a spike in registered motorcycles in Wichita County. Consequently, there has been a rise in motorcycle accidents. Namely car-motorcycle collisions. It is no secret that the motorcycle is at a big disadvantage in the before mentioned scenario often resulting in life changing, or ending, circumstances.

WE ARE OUT THERE. Car drivers... Look Twice... before pulling into that gas station. Look Twice before backing out of your parking space. Look Twice before accelerating to pass around that car in front of you. Look Twice before making that left turn.

Motorcyclists... Be Seen... Use proper lane positioning to maximize your visibility. Take training classes relevant to your style of riding. Wear high visibility or reflective clothing. Stay alert while on your motorcycle. Prepare and Plan for the unknown.

Motorcyclists and Cars Drivers need to share in the responsibility of proper motorcycle awareness if we are to decrease the number of motorcycle related accidents. Car drivers, by clicking around the site, you may, strike that, WILL learn things you did not know about riders and what techniques they employ to be seen. Motorcyclists, click around the site and you will learn some very good techniques to help you to be seen and just maybe save your life.

Be sure and visit our Adopt-A-Highway page to learn how you can help MAC keep our roads clean.

The site is always under construction so check back soon.
