Adopt-A-Highway

In 2008 MAC launched its Adopt-A-Highway program.

Most riders in the area consider the tarmac around Lake Arrowhead to be some of the best riding in the area. Scenic with lots of bends. Car Drivers also consider this area to be local favorite because of the prominent picnic areas, fishing, horseback riding, and boating the Lake Arrowhead has to offer.

We chose a stretch (Comanche Dr to Pawnee Trail) of FM 2606 because we thought it best represented our cause.

We petitioned TxDoT with our idea and they were very supportive. Soon signs were erected claiming that bit of road as our own. Well at least our responsibility!
